## About the role

The University of Surrey is looking for an experienced Engineering Workshop Technician to join its specialist Engineering Centre. The role supports teaching and research by manufacturing high-precision components, developing bespoke equipment and keeping workshop facilities safe and operational.

Day-to-day work includes using conventional and CNC machine tools, interpreting drawings and CAD models, constructing and repairing mechanical equipment, advising on practical engineering solutions and helping to improve manufacturing processes.

## What the University is looking for

- An HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
- Experience using conventional or CNC machine tools.
- Significant experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- A good understanding of workshop health and safety.
- Strong practical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
