Ramster Garden Autumn Colour
Ramster Garden in Chiddingfold has announced its autumn opening. Visitors will be able to enjoy the fantastic display of fiery shades of reds and russets from 1st – 31st October 10am – 5pm daily.
Seasonal highlights include the unique 100-year-old avenue of maples which burst into life with coppery orange and vibrant reds to produce an incredible show of autumn colour. Don’t miss the American red gum tree Liquidambar which produces shades of orange, crimson and purple throughout the autumn months.
Also on the map is the viewpoint of the Valley of the Giants which features exotic trees including Eastern Hemlock, the Giant Sequoia, the Grand Fir, currently standing at 47m and the prized Japanese Cedar which can reach an age of 7000 years. These trees have been recognised by TROBI (Tree Register of Britain & Ireland) for their remarkable sizes.
Explore the different paths around the 20-acre woodland garden to discover hidden sculptures, natural carvings and the tranquil lake setting.
Entry fees apply to the garden (free entry for seasonal ticket holders and children under the age of 16 accompanied by an adult). Tea House and free parking. Dogs on short leads are welcome
