Local children’s activities group BilinguaSing scoops two awards in the National What’s On 4 Kids Awards 2019.
The winners for the prestigious ‘What’s On 4 Kids Awards 2019’ with Morton Michel have now been announced – and local children’s activities group BilinguaSing is amongst them!
Now in its 13th year, these pioneering awards celebrate the UK’s best children’s clubs and classes, along with leaders, volunteers and party providers for children, as nominated and voted for by the experts – parents, carers and parents-to-be. A massive 80,000 nominations and votes were cast to ensure that their ‘most-loved’ were in the running.
Holly Cannell who runs BilinguaSing French classes for babies, pre-schoolers and primary school children across Surrey was crowned Most Loved Music, Dance or Performing Arts activity (10 – 29 leaders), sponsored by ARTventurers. They received their award at a glittering ceremony on 11th October in London hosted by NatWest.
They were also runners-up in the Most Loved Academic or Creative Activity award.
Established in 2013, BilinguaSing is a carefully-crafted music-led programme for teaching languages to babies and children from birth to 11 years.
Holly from BilinguaSing Surrey, said: “I’m incredibly proud that BilinguaSing has been recognised with two prestigious awards, and I’d like to thank all of the lovely families who took the time to nominate and vote for us.
“It’s a real gift to give a second language to our little ones, and at BilinguaSing, we’re passionate about children being introduced to a second language from birth, or as early as possible. We also know that music, movement and sensory experiences are fundamental to children’s development, which is what makes our language classes so unique.”

‘Each and every year it’s a pleasure to welcome back so many activities, keen to be part of these National awards once again, but it’s also so exciting to see the new nominees from this thriving sector being showcased for the first time. We know from parents’ testimonials how clubs, classes and individual leaders have such a positive impact on the lives of their children and it’s an honour, therefore, to publicly recognise and celebrate these activity providers in this way. Huge thank you to NatWest, Morton Michel and all our sponsors and supporters, as well as the thousands of parent voters, for being such a massive part of the What’s On 4 Kids Awards 2019’.
