Bookham & Leatherhead Branch RNLI
We are the local branch of the RNLI; We raise funds in our local area through events, collections, souvenir sales and generating local donations.
Our specially trained volunteers give free talks to children from local schools and youth groups about water safety alongside relevant curriculum activities.
We raise awareness of the RNLI and its lifesaving activities by giving talks to local adult groups.
In addition to a presence at local fairs and events, we organise our own events: our popular Barn Dance & Fish supper each October as part of the national RNLI Fish Supper campaign; the Fetcham Village Christmas Fair being organised by us for the first time in 2017; and our Bookham BBQ in the High Street in late April or early May as part of the national RNLI May Day campaign.
