Surrey Young Farmers is a charity that offers fun and rural opportunities to members aged 10-26 around Surrey. As a small, local organisation it encourages young people to spend time outside, away from their screens. They take part in a variety of activities from country walks and farm visits to rural crafts, sports, and competitions, developing skills and increasing their confidence.
Surrey Young Farmers have faced a difficult and challenging time, with the cancellation of their major fundraiser, the Cowpie Country show, in both 2020 and 2021.
From 19th April Young Farmers members are taking part in the “Give it Some YFC Welly” fundraiser and have committed to walking 140 miles, which covers the club-to-club distance made up of 7 clubs, and back again! They will be walking, running, cycling, riding, and even pulling a tractor this summer to cover the distance and raise vital funds, all whilst wearing or carrying wellies!
Surrey Young Farmers would really appreciate your support and increased awareness of the charity. Any donations we receive will make a huge difference to our 7 clubs located throughout Surrey.
