Early Years and Childcare Sector Development Officer
Employer: Surrey County Council
Location: Surreywide, with one East Surrey base in Reigate and one West Surrey base in Woking
Hours: 36 hours per week; hybrid working
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £42,958 per annum
About the role
Help early years and school-age childcare providers across Surrey offer sustainable, high-quality places. The team advises on childcare availability, funding, business planning and market development. Officers also speak with families, work with partners, and use local information to identify gaps in provision.
What you will need
The Council seeks a relevant Level 6 qualification or substantial related experience, knowledge of early education entitlements and safeguarding, and the ability to work with providers and community partners. Applicants can indicate an interest in the East Surrey role, the West Surrey role, or both.
