Cleankill Shortlisted for Best Employer Award

Croydon-based Cleankill Pest Control is pleased to announce it has been shortlisted in the Employer of the Year category at the 2022 Gatwick Diamond Business Awards.

Sponsored by the Loch Associates Group, this award is presented to the company that can best demonstrate how it puts its employees at the heart of its operations.

Managing Director Paul Bates comments: “It is a real honour to be shortlisted for the Employer of the Year award. Over the years we’ve been named finalists several times and been lucky enough to win Green Business of the Year (twice) and Responsible Business of the Year.

“As a company, we know how important our employees are to our business. Without their hard work and dedication, we would not have been able to achieve all that we have in the last two decades. This is why we have always placed staff development at the heart of our business. It is even enshrined in our company ethos – ‘The Cleankill Way’.

Cleankill has the motto, ‘Never Stop Training’. It is this approach which saw them become the first pest control company in England to receive gold accreditation from Investors in People, which they successfully retained in 2021.

Founded in 1995, Cleankill has won several local and national awards over the years, including Best Business for Staff Training and Development (2016) and Best Employer (2018) at the Croydon Business Excellence Awards, and Company of the Year at the British Pest Management Awards 2019.

The results of the 2022 Gatwick Diamond Business Awards will be announced at an exclusive black tie event on the 17^th March at the Grand Hotel, Brighton. The awards will be hosted by the award-winning actor, writer and comedian-presenter Sally Phillips.

Now employing 50 staff, Cleankill Pest Control offers eradication and preventative services for all public health pests, including: mice; rats; cockroaches; wasps; fleas; squirrels and pest birds. As a registered waste carrier, Cleankill can also remove pigeon debris and other waste.

With offices in Surrey, East Sussex, Bristol and Buckinghamshire, Cleankill has many customers throughout London, Surrey, Sussex, the Home Counties, Bristol, Gloucestershire and Somerset.
