Three Rooms Owner Jilal Uddin Appointed South East Curry Ambassador for 2026–2027

Award-winning Ottershaw restaurant owner recognised for his contribution to the curry industry, culinary innovation and community engagement.

Jilal Uddin, owner of the multi-award-winning Three Rooms Indian Restaurant in Ottershaw, has been appointed Curry Ambassador for the Region of South East for 2026–2027 by Curry CNCT, recognising his contribution to the UK curry industry and his continued commitment to hospitality and the local community.

The appointment marks another milestone for Three Rooms, which was named Curry Restaurant of the Year – South East at the Southern Curry Awards 2026. Under Mr Uddin’s leadership, the restaurant continues to bring together contemporary Indian cuisine, memorable dining experiences and community-focused initiatives.

In July 2026, Three Rooms launched its summer menu, introducing guests to a fresh selection of dishes celebrating Indian flavours and culinary creativity. The restaurant has also recently unveiled a new menu created by multi-award-winning guest chef Abdul Yaseen, further strengthening its focus on quality, innovation and a distinctive modern Indian dining experience.

Beyond its food, Three Rooms has become a destination for entertainment and special occasions, hosting events such as Elvis and Robbie Williams tribute nights, regular Banquet Nights, private dining experiences and community gatherings.

Its commitment to the community was also demonstrated through a special charity dinner in support of Home-Start Runnymede & Woking, an organisation that supports families in the local area. As part of the event, 40% of the proceeds from the evening’s charity dinner were pledged towards supporting the organisation and the families it works with.

Speaking about his appointment, Mr Uddin said:

“It is a great honour to be appointed Curry Ambassador for the South East for 2026–2027. The curry industry is built on passion, tradition, creativity and the people who bring communities together through food. At Three Rooms, we want to keep evolving while respecting the flavours and heritage that make Indian cuisine so special. We also believe that being part of the hospitality industry means giving back to the community that supports us.”

The ambassador appointment also reflects Mr Uddin’s wider involvement in the hospitality sector and community initiatives. Alongside Three Rooms, he is associated with other restaurant businesses, including Khyber Pass, Masala Inn and Chai Green, and has been involved in industry and charitable organisations.

With its award-winning reputation, evolving menus, live entertainment and community initiatives, Three Rooms continues to build its presence as a destination for contemporary Indian dining in the South East.
