Mandira’s Kitchen gears up for Veganuary

Mandira’s Kitchen have put together a selection of vegan dishes for customers to enjoy a full vegan Indian Banquet to celebrate Veganuary at home and stock up on vegan dishes to last through the month in the freezer.

Many of the traditional dishes in the Mandira’s Kitchen range are vegan – so available all year round, not just for Veganuary – all handmade in small batches using fresh produce and traditional family recipes. They contain no preservative or gluten, and each two-portion dish that is freshly frozen to preserve flavour and goodness will stay in the freezer and be heated from frozen in four minutes.

The Enchorer Dalna (Jackfruit) is a delicacy from Mandira’s grandmother’s kitchen using green jackfruit and lots of lovely spices. Jackfruit is a superfood with high protein and fibre and is a vegan alternative to meat.

There is nothing as comforting as a bowl of steaming Palak Dal.  The nutritious dal is made from split yellow lentils, lots of baby spinach for that added goodness and depth and fresh tomatoes to balance the flavours.

The Vegetable Pulau, Alu Tikki and Chana Masala can be complimented with fluffy naan bread, peas patties and vegetable samosas, with Pineapple Chutney or Silent Pool Gin and Orange Chutney with spiced crackers.

The meal can be finished off with a Lychee Martine Sorbet bringing all the flavours of Indian home cooking to your Veganuary dinner table.

The dishes are ideal for those already following a vegan diet, and for those trying vegan food for the first time as they are pre-prepared and ready from frozen in just four minutes, allowing more family time and less time hidden away in the kitchen.

Mandira Sarkar, owner and founder of Mandira’s Kitchen says of Veganuary “Vegan dishes are an intrinsic part of Indian cuisine.  Vegan dishes have been part of our range since the beginning. They are authentic recipes and are all plant based – there are no ingredients in the dishes designed to substitute for meat.  Its easy to have a vegan diet with Indian food and we are happy to share our food experiences during Veganuary”

All items can be ordered online from www.mandiraskitchen.com and either collected from Mandira’s Kitchen at The Silent Pool Guildford, or delivered to any UK Mainland address.
